Race For The Cure

On Saturday I ran Race for the Cure with my mom. She had breast cancer and had a double mastectomy in January. Her sister (my aunt Joan) had breast cancer also it was her 25 year anniversary being cancer free this weekend. My mom's sister in law (my aunt Dorothy ) had it 2 years ago. It is a touching race to run or walk and is hard not to get teary eyed. I think everyone should do it once in their life. It is neat to see all the women that have survived the cancer and to see their love ones running to support the cause to find a cure for them or for someone they have lost to cancer. They have all the survivors to a walk around the gate way mall and then all stand on the stairs and are recognized for being survivors. This isn't half of the survivors. More than 17,000 people signed up to run the race. Susan Komen is an awesome lady!
